Two-dimensional electron gas (2DEG) at the interface between two insulating perovskite oxides has attracted much interest for both fundamental physics and potential applications. Here, we report the discovery of a new 2DEG formed at the interface between spinel MgAl2O4 and perovskite SrTiO3. Transport measurements, electron microscopy imaging, and first-principles calculations reveal that the interfacial 2DEG is closely related to the symmetry breaking at the MgAl2O4/SrTiO3 interface. The critical film thickness for the insulator-to-metal transition is approximately 32 Å, which is twice as thick as that reported on the widely studied LaAlO3/SrTiO3 system. Scanning transmission electron microscopy imaging indicates the formation of interfacial Ti-Al antisite defects with a thickness of ∼4 Å. First-principles density functional theory calculations indicate that the coexistence of the antisite defects and surface oxygen vacancies may explain the formation of interfacial 2DEG as well as the observed critical film thickness. The discovery of 2DEG at the spinel/perovskite interface introduces a new material platform for designing oxide interfaces with desired characteristics.Perovskites have been unprecedented with a relatively sharp rise in power conversion efficiency in the last decade. However, the polycrystalline nature of the perovskite film makes it susceptible to surface and grain boundary defects, which significantly impedes its potential performance. Passivation of these defects has been an effective approach to further improve the photovoltaic performance of the perovskite solar cells. Here, we report the use of a novel hydrazine-based aromatic iodide salt or phenyl hydrazinium iodide (PHI) for secondary post treatment to passivate surface and grain boundary defects in triple cation mixed halide perovskite films. In particular, the PHI post treatment reduced current at the grain boundaries, facilitated an electron barrier, and reduced trap state density, indicating suppression of leakage pathways and charge recombination, thus passivating the grain boundaries. As a result, a significant enhancement in power conversion efficiency to 20.6% was obtained for the PHI-treated perovskite device in comparison to a control device with 17.4%.Although rapid progress has been made in tin-based perovskite solar cells (PSCs), the inferior film qualities of the solution-processed perovskites always lead to poor reproducibility and instability. Herein, we present a simple seeded growth (SG) approach to obtain high-quality tin-based perovskite films with preferred crystal orientation, large grain sizes, and fewer apparent grain boundaries. High-quality tin-based perovskite films fabricated through this SG process could greatly reduce the nonradiative recombination centers and inhibit the oxidation of Sn2+. Using formamidinium tin tri-iodide (FASnI3) perovskites, the SG-PSCs exhibit a much improved efficiency from 5.37% (control) to 7.32% with all improved photovoltaic parameters. Moreover, this SG strategy is easily applicable to other tin-based perovskite compositions. The PSC based on methylammonium (MA) doped mixed-cation perovskite (FA0.75MA0.25SnI3) exhibited a power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 8.54% with an improvement of 19.3% in the photovoltaic performance, making it a general approach for achieving efficient tin-based PSCs.An effective design strategy with an efficient synthetic route to xanthene-based far-red to near-infrared dyes is reported. The dyes were prepared by the Suzuki cross-coupling of the electron-poor fluorescein ditriflate with the electron-rich boronic acid/ester-functionalized pyrrole (2C/3C) and indole (2D/3D) moieties. Upon treatment with trifluoroacetic acid, the closed nonfluorescent forms of the dyes (2C and 2D) ring-opened to their fluorescent forms (3C and 3D). The absorption maxima were 665 and 704 nm, while the emission maxima were 717 and 719 nm for 3C and 3D, respectively. The closed forms of the dyes were soluble in chloroform and acetonitrile. To test the efficacy of the dyes as probes, a turn-off fluoride ion probe was prepared from 3C, which consisted of a silyl ester receptor. The probe responded strongly to low concentrations of fluoride, carbonate, and acetate ions, weakly to phosphate ions, but not to the other halogens. Moreover, the probe can detect the minimum concentration of F- in water.Solid-phase extraction (SPE) is a general preconcentration method for sample preparation that can be performed on a variety of specimens. The miniaturization of SPE within a 3D printed microfluidic device further allows for fast and simple extraction of analytes while also enabling integration of SPE with other sample preparation and separation methods. Here, we present the development and application of a reversed-phase lauryl methacrylate-based monolith, formed in 3D printed microfluidic devices, which can selectively retain peptides and proteins. The effectiveness of these SPE monoliths and 3D printed microfluidic devices was tested using a panel of nine preterm birth biomarkers of varying hydrophobicities and ranging in mass from 2 to 470 kDa. The biomarkers were selectively retained, fluorescently labeled, and eluted separately from the excess fluorescent label in 3D printed microfluidic systems. These are the first results demonstrating microfluidic analysis processes on a complete panel of preterm birth biomarkers, an important step toward developing a miniaturized, fully integrated analysis system.All-inorganic cesium lead-halide perovskites exhibit a great development prospect in optoelectronic devices owing to their stability and remarkable optoelectronic properties. Herein, we investigate the solution-processed synthesis of perovskite CsPb2Br5 nanosheets by using aqueous and ethanol as solvents. The results show that the aqueous environment ensures the phase formation of CsPb2Br5 and that the supersaturated solution in ethanol boosts nucleation of the nanosheets. The substrate temperature is the key factor for the evolution of morphology and the variation of the thickness of CsPb2Br5 nanosheets. Lower substrate temperature ( less then 35 °C) is conducive to the formation of evenly distributed nanosheets with less stacking. The spatial and time-resolved fluorescence spectra indicate the heterogeneity of the defect density and the recombination process in different nanosheet regions. The photodetector based on the prepared CsPb2Br5 nanosheet displays an excellent switching current ratio (9 × 102), a short rise and decay time (43 and 83 ms, respectively), and good stability (75% of the initial current after 90 days in air). In addition, the mechanical stability and flexibility of the photodetector on the flexible substrate are investigated for 500 bending cycles.Linalool is abundant in tea leaves and contributes greatly to tea aroma. The two isomers of linalool, (R)-linalool and (S)-linalool, exist in tea leaves. Our study found that (R)-linalool was the minor isomer in nine of Camellia sinensis var. sinensis cultivars. The (R)-linalool synthase of tea plant CsRLIS was identified subsequently. It is a chloroplast-located protein and specifically catalyzes the formation of (R)-linalool in vitro and in vivo. CsRLIS was observed to be a stress-responsive gene and caused the accumulation of internal (R)-linalool during oolong tea manufacture, mechanical wounding, and insect attack. Further study demonstrated that the catalytic efficiency of CsRLIS was much lower than that of (S)-linalool synthase CsSLIS, which might explain the lower (R)-linalool proportion in C. sinensis var. sinensis cultivars. The relative expression levels of CsRLIS and CsSLIS may also affect the (R)-linalool proportions among C. sinensis var. sinensis cultivars. This information will help us understand differential distributions of chiral aroma compounds in tea.With the growing requirements for the renewability and sustainability of electronic products, environmentally friendly cellulose-based materials have attracted immense research interests and gained increasing prominence for electronic devices. Humidity sensors play an essential role in industries, agriculture, climatology, medical services, and daily life. Here, for the first time, we fabricate capacitive humidity sensors based on ionic conductive wood-derived cellulose nanopapers (WCNs). The WCN-based humidity sensors exhibited ultrahigh sensitivity, fast response, small hysteresis, and more importantly, a wide working range of relative humidity (RH). The sensors showed >104 times increase in the sensing signal over the 7-94% RH range at 20 Hz, while many reported humidity sensors with high sensitivity often have the working range limited to high RH levels. Our sensors can realize the distinction of nuances in humidity and exhibit outstanding noncontact skin humidity sensing properties. Flexible WCN-based humidity sensors were also fabricated, and they displayed excellent sensing properties with long-time stability, endowing them with multifunctional applications. The contrast humidity sensing experiment compared to the existing commercial humidity sensor further demonstrated the higher and faster response of our WCN-based sensors. Thus, this work provides effective guidance for the design of high-performance humidity sensors using nanopapers and opens a new dimension for a variety of future applications.
Top-down restoration of distorted speech, tapped as phonemic restoration of speech in noise, maybe a useful tool to understand robustness of perception in adverse listening situations. However, the relationship between phonemic restoration and speech perception in noise is not empirically clear.
20 adults (40-55 years) with normal audiometric findings were part of the study. Sentence perception in noise performance was studied with various signal-to-noise ratios (SNRs) to estimate the SNR with 50% score. Performance was also measured for sentences interrupted with silence and for those interrupted by speech noise at -10, -5, 0, and 5 dB SNRs. The performance score in the noise interruption condition was subtracted by quiet interruption condition to determine the phonemic restoration magnitude.
Fairly robust improvements in speech intelligibility was found when the sentences were interrupted with speech noise instead of silence. Improvement with increasing noise levels was non-monotonic and reached a maximum at -10 dB SNR. Significant correlation between speech perception in noise performance and phonemic restoration of sentences interrupted with -10 dB SNR speech noise was found.
It is possible that perception of speech in noise is associated with top-down processing of speech, tapped as phonemic restoration of interrupted speech. More research with a larger sample size is indicated since the restoration is affected by the type of speech material and noise used, age, working memory, and linguistic proficiency, and has a large individual variability.

Recurrent auricular hematoma can be a challenging medical problem, with complications resulting in ear deformity, therefore, appropriate management is important. Improper treatment can result in a deformity known as 'cauliflower ear’ or 'wrestler’s ear.’ We report a case of othematoma that was inappropriately treated and present a review of current treatment options.
Globally, the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) is responsible for one of the most serious pandemics to date. The vulnerability of the vestibular system in individuals with HIV has been confirmed, and central vestibular impairments have been frequently reported. However, there are disagreements on the impact of HIV on peripheral vestibular function. Thus, the current study aimed to determine the prevalence of peripheral vestibular impairment, specifically related to the semi-circular canals (SCCs), in HIV-positive individuals receiving antiretroviral (ARV) treatment.
A total of 92 adults between the ages of 18 and 50 years (divided into two groups) participated in the study. The first group comprised HIV-positive individuals receiving ARV treatment (n1=60), and the second group comprised HIV-negative participants (n2=32). The video head impulse test was used to conduct the head impulse paradigm (HIMP).
Bilateral normal HIMP results were obtained in 95% of the HIV-positive participants and all HIV-negative participants. The gain of the left posterior SCCs was significantly lower in the HIV-positive group, while the gains of all other canals between the two groups were comparable.
The prevalence of peripheral vestibular impairment in the HIV-positive group was not significantly different from that of the HIV-negative group. The reduced prevalence in the current study may be attributed to participant characteristics, the test battery employed, and the central compensation of the vestibular dysfunctions at the later stages of infection.

It participates in the regulation of multiple biological processes, including cell cycle, apoptosis, DNA repair, antigen presentation, receptor endocytosis, intracellular signal transduction. Recent studies have found that the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway can participate in the formation and development of hypertrophic scar by regulating transforming growth factor beta/Smad signal transduction and proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis of fibroblasts. This article summarizes the effects of ubiquitin ligase enzyme, proteasome, and deubiquitinating enzyme in ubiquitin-proteasome pathway in hypertrophic scar, in order to provide new idea for the prevention and treatment of hypertrophic scar.Chronic refractory wound refers to the wound with unclear etiology, multiple and complex injury factors, slow healing, and no obvious tendency of healing after treatment for 4 weeks. The formation and evolution process of chronic refractory wounds are very complex, involving re-epithelialization of wound tissue, cell proliferation, tissue remodeling, and angiogenesis and lymphangiogenesis. The abnormal expression of long non-coding RNA may be involved in the formation of chronic refractory wounds, but the specific pathogenesis and related molecular biological changes are still controversial. In this paper, we reviewed the process and role of long non-coding RNA in regulating keratinocyte differentiation, fibroblast proliferation, and regeneration of vascular and lymphatic endothelial cell in chronic refractory wounds.With the aggravation of aging of global population and increase of incidence of various chronic diseases and injuries, patients with chronic wounds due to different causes (malnutrition, abnormal metabolism, compression, infection, tumor, etc.) have grown. Especially in some patients at the end of life, chronic wounds have the characteristics of difficult to heal and even unable to heal. There is an urgent need for palliative treatment for such wounds. Palliative treatment of chronic wounds focuses on the management of smell, pain, exudate, bleeding, and infection with the hope to effectively prevent infection, relief pain, improve quality of life, and reduce the economic burden of medical treatment for patients. This paper reviews the related studies of palliative treatment in chronic wounds at home and abroad, and explores the evaluation and management of palliative treatment of different wounds with the aim to provide new management strategies, new materials, and new concept for the treatment of chronic wounds.The maintenance of posture and anti-contracture treatment are the critical elements of comprehensive burn rehabilitation in the overall treatment period of pediatric burns. Although domestic experts in burn discipline have formulated guidelines for burn rehabilitation, the maintenance of posture and design and manufacture of splints for anti-scar contractures in children with burns are different from that for adults with burns in many ways. Starting with paying the attention to the rehabilitation problems in pediatric burns, especially considering the anatomical, psychological, and social behavior characteristics of children in developmental period, the author’s team effectively applies splints to maximize the prevention of contractures in children and maintain and improve the range of their joint movements. The splints designed to prevent contractures in pediatric burns shall fit the small limb and meet their expected goals of rehabilitation. In each aspect of the production and use of splints, it is necessary to fully evaluate and consider the scar characteristics, growth and development status, activity level, and compliance of children, and adaptability and fixation methods of the splints, so as to select the appropriate splint type and formulate the wearing plan.A 58-year-old male patient with diabetic foot ulcer was admitted to the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine on December 11, 2018. The patient was treated with local debridement, vacuum sealing drainage treatment, and dressing change and discharged after basic wound healing. On January 15, 2019, the patient was hospitalized again due to local infection and rupture of wound surface. He underwent a surgical debridement on the third day after second admission and was given intravenous infusion of 0.4 g teicoplanin twice daily. Histopathological examination after surgery showed keratinizing squamous-cell carcinoma. An extended squamous-cell carcinoma resection plus autologous split-thickness skin grafting and vacuum sealing drainage treatment was carried out on the 10th day after second admission. The patient’s whole body turned red after surgery with rash, recurrent fever over 39 ℃, leucopenia, and thrombocytopenia. A multi-disciplinary consultation of physicians attributed these symptoms to teicoplanin-induced hypersensitivity syndrome. After withdrawal of teicoplanin and administration of hormone, the patient’s temperature returned to normal, and the leucocyte count and platelet count recovered gradually. The patient was cured and discharged on the 49th day after second admission. The case presented reminds us of need to strictly follow the indications of teicoplanin prior to medication, be resolute to the administration and withdrawal, and be alert to adverse drug reactions when above-mentioned abnormalities occur, meanwhile, infection and rheumatic diseases are excluded.On April 26, 2018, a 55-year-old male patient with severe phenol burn complicated with acute poisoning was admitted to the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine. The patient quickly developed the symptoms of central nervous system including blurred consciousness and restlessness, anuria, and respiratory failure. After self-rescue before admission and a series of measures in hospital including wound decontamination to reduce phenol absorption, rapid massive infusion and hemodialysis+ hemoperfusion, continuous renal replacement therapy for speeding up phenol excretion and organ function maintenance, the poisoning symptoms were effectively alleviated, and the patient was finally rescued successfully and discharged on post injury day 29. This case suggests that early hemodialysis combined with hemoperfusion and continuous renal replacement therapy are effective methods for treating severe phenol burn complicated with acute poisoning.On March 14, 2017, a thirty years old male severe burn patient accompanied by asphyxia, sudden cardiac arrest, and acute respiratory distress syndrome was admitted to Zhengzhou First People’s Hospital. During the shock stage, the pulse contour cardiac output was monitored for the restrictive rehydration, tracheotomy was performed, and fibrobronchoscope lavage was performed for the treatment of inhalation injury and pulmonary infection. An alternate application of suspended bed and turning bed was conducted to balance the treatment of cerebral edema and pulmonary infection; targeted antibiotics were used for anti-infective treatment; multiple operations were performed for eschar excision and skin grafting. At last, the wounds were all healed, the lung infection was cured, and the patient was discharged with severe disturbance of consciousness. Asphyxia and acute respiratory distress syndrome post-cardiopulmonary resuscitation are serious complications in severe burn patients. The clinical treatment of such patients is very difficult and should be highly alerted.Objective To explore the effects of pedicled anterolateral thigh flaps in repairing skin and soft tissue defects in perineal region caused by necrotizing fasciitis. Methods From March 2014 to December 2018, 6 patients with skin and soft tissue defects in perineal region caused by necrotizing fasciitis were admitted to Department of Burns of Hanzhong Central Hospital (hereinafter referred to as our hospital). Two female patients had labia major defects and 4 male patients had scrotum defects, with age of 43-68 years. The areas of skin and soft tissue defects after debridement were 4%-8% total body surface area. The wounds in non-joint and non-functional area were repaired with free split-thickness skin grafts from medial femoral region, and the residual wounds areas in perineal region after repair were 10 cm×4 cm-22 cm×10 cm, which were repaired with pedicled anterolateral thigh flaps, with area of 12 cm×5 cm-24 cm×12 cm. The secondary wounds in the donor sites were sutured directly or repaired with free splitotics use time of (13±3) d. During follow-up of 3 to 6 months after the operation, the flaps were slightly bloated in 2 patients, and the flap thinning operation was performed 6 months after wound repair. The sensory function recovered to normal in 2 flaps of patients with anterolateral femoral cutaneous nerve, and the superficial sensory function in the other flaps of patients recovered in different degrees.The hip joint activity was close to normal in all the patients, and the scrotum function was normal in 4 male patients. Conclusions The pedicled anterolateral thigh flap showed good effects in repairing skin and soft tissue defects on perineal region caused by necrotizing fasciitis, with good appearance and function after operation, and the method is simple, safe, and easy to apply.Objective To investigate the clinical effects of modified fascia flap from cutaneous branch of dorsal metacarpal artery in repairing the wound at the proximal and middle finger segments. Methods From January 2017 to September 2018, 12 patients with wounds at the proximal and middle finger segments were admitted to the Affiliated Hospital of Zunyi Medical University, including 8 males and 4 females, aged 35-70 years. The areas of wounds ranged from 3.4 cm×2.4 cm to 6.5 cm×4.0 cm. The modified fascia flaps from cutaneous branch of dorsal metacarpal artery were resected to repair the wounds, with the size ranging from 3.5 cm×2.5 cm to 6.7 cm×4.1 cm. The flap donor sites of 5 patients were repaired with direct intermittent suture, the flap donor sites of 4 patients were repaired with full-thickness skin grafts from ipsilateral medial forearm, and the flap donor sites of 3 patients were repaired with wrist pedicled flaps. The survival of the flaps was recorded. Healing of donor site and recipient site was followed. The hand functions were evaluated with trial standard for the evaluation of the functions of the upper limbs of the Hand Surgery Society of the Chinese Medical Association. Results All the flaps survived in 12 cases. During 3 to 12 months of follow-up, the flaps recovered satisfactorily in texture and shape. The donor sites of 11 patients were healed, and the skin graft edge area was partially necrotic in the other patient but healed later after dressing change. The distances of two-point discrimination of the patients ranged from 5.6 to 9.0 mm. Hand functions were evaluated as excellent in 5 cases, good in 4 cases, and fair in 3 cases. Conclusions Modified fascia flap from cutaneous branch of dorsal metacarpal artery for repairing the wounds at the proximal and middle finger segments has reliable blood supply. The operation is simple and safe with short course of treatment, which is worthy of clinical promotion.Objective To explore the clinical effects of individualized free anterolateral thigh flap in repairing complex refractory wound. Methods From July 2015 to May 2019, 19 patients with complex refractory wounds were hospitalized in Yulin NO.1 People’s Hospital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, including 12 males and 7 female, aged 13-67 years. There were 5 patients with multiple tissue defects, 7 patients with large area of wounds, and 7 patients with wounds in special areas. The sizes of wounds after complete debridement were 8 cm×5 cm-23 cm×7 cm. According to the repair demand, the wounds in 5 patients were repaired with anterolateral thigh flaps and flow-through, the wounds in 7 patients were repaired with anterolateral thigh flaps chimed with lateral thigh muscle flaps, with vascular anastomosis in 2 patients, the wounds in 6 patients were repaired with unilateral anterolateral thigh lobulated flaps, and the wound in 1 patient was repaired with bilateral anterolateral thigh flap in series connection. The the anastomosed blood vessels were unobstructed in 7 patients with reconstructed local blood supply. Conclusions The special forms of anterolateral thigh flap, such as lobulation, series connection, and chimerism can be designed according to the anatomical characteristics of the descending branch of the lateral femoral artery to meet individualized repair demand for complex refractory wounds, and achieve the double purposes of making full use of the donor site tissue and good repair of the recipient site.Objective To investigate the clinical effects of superior gluteal artery perforator ” buddy flap” in repairing pressure ulcer in sacrococcygeal region. Methods From January 2017 to December 2018, 13 patients (8 males and 5 females) aged 24-79 years with stage 4 pressure ulcers in sacrococcygeal region were admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University, with wound area from 5 cm×4 cm to 12 cm×10 cm. After thorough debridement and vacuum sealing drainage, the superior gluteal artery perforator ” buddy flap” was designed to repair the pressure ulcer in sacrococcygeal region. The pressure ulcer was repaired by the main flap with area from 7.0 cm×5.0 cm to 18.0 cm×12.0 cm; the main flap’s donor area was covered by the auxiliary flap with area from 5.0 cm×3.0 cm to 11.0 cm×7.0 cm; the auxiliary flap’s donor area was covered by the connecting flap between the main flap and the auxiliary flap. The remaining wound without covering was directly closed by suturing. The postoperative flap survival and complications were observed. The appearance and function of flaps and the recurrence of pressure ulcer were followed up. Results The flaps of 12 patients survived after operation without complications of infection, fat liquefaction, or poor flap survival. A small area of superficial necrotic skin at the distal end of flap was observed in one case, which was healed after dressing change. All the patients were followed up for 6 months without recurrence of pressure ulcer, and the operation area was naturally full in appearance, which was pressure and wear resistant. Conclusions Superior gluteal artery perforator ” buddy flap” is an effective method for the treatment of pressure ulcer in sacrococcygeal region. The effect of tension-free repair of the pressure ulcer and main flap donor area can be achieved in one operation. The operation is simple, the curative effect is accurate, and it has certain clinical value.Objective To explore the effects of ilioinguinal composite tissue flaps in repairing skin and soft tissue defects on hand or foot and reconstructing the flexion and extension functions of wrist, finger, ankle, and toe. Methods From February 2012 to March 2018, 4, 5, and 3 patients (11 males and 1 female, 23-62 years old) with skin and soft tissue defects on hand or foot were admitted to Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital of Zhongmu County of Henan Province, Henan Armed Police Corps Hospital, and the Affiliated Jiangyin Hospital of Medical College of Southeast University, respectively. Five patients had hand defects, and 7 patients had foot defects. The areas of skin and soft tissue defects after debridement were 10 cm×8 cm-15 cm×10 cm. The ilioinguinal composite tissue flaps were designed and resected according to the wound area and the length of tendon defects, and the areas of flaps were 10 cm×8 cm-15 cm×12 cm. According to the specific condition of the recipient area, the superficial iliac circumflex arll the tissue flaps in 12 patients survived. During follow-up of 6-36 months after operation, the tissue flaps were slightly bloated, with linear scars at the junction site in the recipient area, and the two-point discrimination distances of the tissue flaps were 15-22 mm. The hand function was excellent in 3 cases, good in 1 case, and fair in 1 case, and the foot function was excellent in 4 cases, good in 2 cases, and fair in 1 case, and all the patients were satisfied with the function and appearance of hand or foot. Conclusions The ilioinguinal composite tissue flaps can repair the hand and foot wounds and reconstruct the flexion and extension functions of wrist, finger, ankle, and toe at the same time, which is an effective method to repair this kind of defects.Objective To investigate the application effects of self-made simple vacuum sealing drainage (VSD) device in the postoperative treatment of sural neurocutaneous flap transplantation in the foot and ankle. Methods From January 2017 to January 2019, 36 patients with foot and ankle skin defects and bone exposure admitted to People’s Hospital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region met the inclusion criteria, and a retrospective cohort study was conducted. According to the bandaging method of the operative area, simple negative pressure group and antibacterial dressing group were both allocated with 18 patients, with 12 males and 6 females in the former group, 14 males and 4 females in the latter group, aged (41.6±2.8) and (42.3±2.6) years, respectively. Patients in the two groups all received sural neurocutaneous flap transplantation. Patients in antibacterial dressing group received nano silver antibacterial dressing change in the operative area, and the dressing was changed once every 3 days. In simple negative prve pressure group was (4.3±0.8) points, which was significantly lower than (6.8±0.7) points in antibacterial dressing group (t=10.168, P less then 0.01). The cost of dressing change of patients was similar between the two groups. On the 3rd and 5th day after surgery, the degrees of flap swelling of patients in simple negative pressure group were significantly superior to those in antibacterial dressing group (Z=4.448, 2.395, P less then 0.05 or P less then 0.01). The flap survival of patients in simple negative pressure group was significantly superior to that in antibacterial dressing group (χ(2)=4.500, P less then 0.05). Conclusions Compared with the traditional dressing bandage, the self-made simple VSD device used after sural neurocutaneous flap transplantation can reduce the frequency of dressing change, relieve the pain of dressing change and the swelling of flap, and promote the flap survival, which is worth popularizing and applying in clinic.Objective To compare the effects of supplemental parenteral nutrition (SPN) and enteral nutrition (EN) on prognosis of critically ill patients in intensive care unit (ICU) using meta-analysis. Methods Foreign language databases including PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, and Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials were retrieved with the search terms of ” supplemental parenteral nutrition, parenteral nutrition, enteral nutrition, critically ill” , and Chinese database SinoMed database was retrieved with the search terms of „,,,” to obtain the publicly published randomized controlled trials about the effects of SPN and EN supportive treatment on prognosis of critically ill patients in ICU from the establishment of each database to December 2018. The Google Scholar was retrieved for supplement. The outcome indexes included the infection rate, anti-infection time, antibiotic-free time, ICU overall mortality, overall mortality during hospitalization, mechanical ventilation time, length of ICU stay, and length of hospital stay. RevMan 5.3 and Stata 14.0 statistical software were used to conduct a meta-analysis of eligible studies. Results A total of 794 patients were included in 8 studies, including 387 patients in SPN group who received SPN and EN and 407 patients in EN group who only received EN. The bias risks of the eight studies included were uncertain. Compared with that of EN group, the infection rate of patients in SPN group was significantly decreased (relative risk=0.79, 95% confidence interval=0.66-0.94, P0.05). Conclusions SPN supportive treatment can decrease the infection rate of critically ill patients in ICU, but it has no obvious influences on overall mortality, mechanical ventilation time, and length of hospital stay.Objective To investigate the early changes in serum osteoprotegerin/receptor activator of nuclear factor-κB ligand (RANKL) and related indexes of calcium and phosphorus in severe burn patients. Methods Thirty severe burn patients who met the inclusion criteria and were admitted to Tongren Hospital of Wuhan University & Wuhan Third Hospital within 8 hours post injury from June 2017 to December 2018 were recruited into severe burn group (24 males and 6 females, aged (38±13) years). Ten healthy volunteers with normal physical examination results in the Physical Examination Center of the same hospital in the same period of time were recruited into healthy control group (7 males and 3 females, aged (37±8) years). A prospective controlled study was conducted. The fasting venous blood of 5 mL was taken from each patient in severe burn group on post injury day (PID) 1, 7, 14, 21, and 28, respectively, and the fasting venous blood of 5 mL was taken from each volunteer in healthy control group. The serum osteoprotegeri.257, -7.651, -6.259, P less then 0.01), the serum levels of PTH were significantly elevated (Z=-4.685, -4.685, -4.685, -4.654, -4.685, P less then 0.01), and the serum levels of phosphorus were not changed significantly. Conclusions The serum osteoprotegerin, RANKL, RANKL/osteoprotegerin ratio, and PTH are increased, and the serum 25 hydroxyvitamin D, albumin, and calcium are decreased in the early stage of severe burn patients, which may be the mechanism leading to bone loss in patients.Objective To investigate the influence of silver ion dressing on related infections induced by inserted central venous catheter through wounds in patients with severe burn. Methods From June 2017 to December 2018, 90 severe burn patients who were admitted to the First Hospital of Hebei Medical University and met the inclusion criteria were included in this prospectively randomized control study. According to the random number table, they were divided into silver ion dressing group (30 patients, 20 males and 10 females, aged (37.2±3.4) years), sterile dressing group (30 patients, 18 males and 12 females, aged (35.2±4.1) years), and Anerdian dressing group (30 patients, 17 males and 13 females, aged (36.3±2.6) years). After admission, the patients in three groups were treated with a 16 G single-lumen central venous catheter inserted into the subclavian vein of burn wounds, with the depth of 19 cm. The puncture points of the patients in silver ion dressing group, sterile dressing group, and Anerdian dressing groignificantly shorter than the days in silver ion dressing group (P less then 0.01). (2) A total of 16 cases of CRBSI occurred in all the patients in 3 groups. A total of 16 pathogenic bacteria were isolated from catheter tip attachment microbial culture and blood microbial culture. The detections rates of pathogenic bacteria of patients in sterile dressing group and Anerdian dressing group were significantly higher than the rate in silver ion dressing group (P less then 0.05). Methods (1) The structure and working mode of the wireless sensor module were designed. The temperature and humidity sensor welded at one end of the flexible cable and the pressure sensor were simultaneously connected with the printed circuit board, which was welded with the Bluetooth transmitter, microprocessor, and power interface to establish a wireless sensor module. A mobile data receiving application was developed and the monitoring values of the wireless sensor module exposed to the air were read through the Bluetooth function on the smart phone. (2) The temperature of a 35-42 ℃ hot water bag was measured by the wireless sensor module and an infrared thermometer at the same time, and 30 pairs of data were compared with correlation analysis performed. It possesses a big value in clinical application and prospects for development.Objective To establish a clustered management plan for pulmonary care of massive burn casualties (hereinafter referred to as the clustered management plan for pulmonary care), and to explore its application effects. Methods (1) A clustered care intervention group was established, including the medical and nursing staff from the Department of Burns and Plastic Surgery, Department of Respiratory Medicine, and Department of Infection Control at the Fourth Medical Center of PLA General Hospital (hereinafter referred to as our hospital). Four major links, including pulmonary care assessment, chest and lung physical therapy, artificial airway management, and specialized infection control were sorted out according to the key points and difficulties in pulmonary care for massive burn casualties. Evidence-based nursing methods were employed to retrieve articles related to the above-mentioned four links from PubMed, Chinese Journal Full-Text Database, VIP Database and Wanfang Data using terms of ” mass burn, respiratoran 25.58% (11/43) and 18.60% (8/43) in routine care group (χ(2)=11.986, 5.043, P less then 0.05 or P less then 0.01). Conclusions The clustered management plan for pulmonary care developed for massive burn casualties focuses on the major links and key points. The measures are systemic and comprehensive, simple but precise, and highly operable, covering the entire process of massive burn care, hereby reducing the pulmonary infection rate significantly and improving the success rate of treatment.Objective To explore the influence of Xuebijing injection (hereinafter referred to as Xuebijing) and its component paeoniflorin on immune function of regulatory T cells (Tregs) of spleen and survival rate of septic rats. Methods (1) CD4(+) CD25(+) Tregs and CD4(+) T cells were isolated and purified from spleens of three 9 to 12 weeks old Sprague-Dawley male rats (the same age, breed, and gender below) by immunomagnetic beads. According to the random number table (the same grouping method below), CD4(+) CD25(+) Tregs were divided into blank control group, simple CD3/CD28 group, simple endotoxin/lipopolysaccharide (LPS) group, LPS+ Xuebijing group, and LPS+ paeoniflorin group, with 6 wells in each group. The cells in simple CD3/CD28 group, simple LPS group, LPS+ Xuebijing group, and LPS+ paeoniflorin group were cultured in RPMI 1640 medium containing fetal bovine serum in volume fraction of 10%, 1.25 μg CD3, and 2.5 μg CD28 for 24 hours. Then 1 μg/mL LPS in the volume of 1 μL was added to the cells in simple LPP less then 0.05), while the survival rate within post-operative 7-day of rats in sepsis+ paeoniflorin group showed no obvious change. Conclusions Both Xuebijing and its component paeoniflorin are capable of reversing sepsis-induced inhibitory immune function and apoptotic resistant of Tregs in rats, and further improving the proliferative activity of T cells. In addition, the effect of paeoniflorin on improvement of survival rate of rats with sepsis is weaker than Xuebijing.Objective To investigate the effects and mechanism of mitochondrial transcription factor A (TFAM) and cytochrome c oxidase (COX) pathway in the energy production of hypoxic cardiomyocytes of rats regulated by tumor necrosis factor receptor associated protein 1 (TRAP1). Methods The cardiomyocytes were isolated from 135 neonatal Sprague-Dawley rats (aged 1-3 d) and cultured for the following experiments. (1) Cells were collected and divided into normoxia blank control (NBC) group, hypoxia blank control (HBC) group, hypoxia+ TRAP1 over-expression control (HTOC) group, and hypoxia+ TRAP1 over-expression (HTO) group according to the random number table (the same grouping method below), with 1 bottle in each group. Cells in NBC group were cultured routinely, cells in HBC group were cultured in hypoxic condition for 6 hours after routine culture, cells in HTOC and HTO groups were respectively added with TRAP1 over-expression empty virus vector and TRAP1 over-expression adenovirus vector virus suspension for transfec.11) of cells in HBC group were significantly decreased (P less then 0.01). Compared with 0.269±0.042 and 1.17±0.12 in HBC group and those in HTOC group, the COX activity (0.412±0.032 and 0.404±0.016) and ATP content (1.75±0.06 and 1.69±0.07) of cells in HTO and HTOTIC groups were significantly increased (P less then 0.01). Compared with those in HTO and HTOTIC groups, the COX activity (0.261±0.036) and ATP content (1.23±0.07) of cells in HTOTI group were significantly decreased (P less then 0.01). (3) Compared with that in NBC group, the ATP content of cells in NSA and NBC groups was significantly decreased (P less then 0.01). Compared with that in HBC group, the ATP content of cells in HSA group was significantly decreased (P less then 0.01). Responding to the challenge of limited testing capacity, large-scale (>20 000 tests per day) standardized and fully-automated laboratory (Huo-Yan) was built as an ad-hoc measure. There is so far no empirical data or mathematical model to reveal the impact of the testing capacity improvement since quarantine. Methods Based on the suspected case data released by the Health Commission of Hubei Province and the daily testing data of Huo-Yan Laboratory, the impact of detection capabilities on the realization of „clearing” and „clearing the day” of supected cases was simulated by establishing a novel non-linear and competitive compartments differential model. Results Without the establishment of Huo-Yan, the suspected cases would increase by 47% to 33 700, the corresponding cost of quarantine would be doubled, the turning point of the increment of su prevention and control of infectious diseases.Objective To systematically evaluate the efficacy and safety of vitamin D supplementation in the treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis. Methods Biomedical Database was searched to collect randomized controlled trials (RCT) related to vitamin D supplementation in tuberculosis patients, and the retrieval time was from establishment to November 2019. Two evaluators independently screened the literature and extracted the data. The negative conversion rate of acid-fast-bacilli of sputum smear, the negative conversion rate of mycobacterium tuberculosis culture and the change of serum vitamin D level were the main outcome indicators, and the body mass index was the secondary outcome indicator. The incidence of hypercalcemia and abnormal urinary calcium were used as adverse event indicators and the RevMan 5.2 software was used for meta-analysis. Results A total of 8 RCT(S) met the inclusion criteria, including 850 patients with tuberculosis. Meta-analysis showed that compared with the control group, negative conversion rate of acid-fast-bacilli of sputum smear and serum vitamin D level increased after 8 weeks of vitamin D supplementation [RR (95%CI) and mean deviation (MD) (95%CI) were 1.06 (1.00, 1.13) and 8.81 (1.81, 15.81), respectively; negative conversion rate of acid-fast-bacilli of sputum smear was not increased at week 4 and 12 [RR (95%CI) were 1.08 (0.97, 1.20) and 1.01 (0.91, 1.12), respectively]; negative conversion rate of mycobacterium tuberculosis culture in sputum was not increased after 4 and 8 weeks [RR (95%CI) were 1.06 (0.91, 1.22) and 1.02 (0.96, 1.08), respectively]; there was no change in body mass index [MD (95%CI)-0.02 (-0.53, 0.50)]; there was increased risk of abnormal urinary calcium [RR (95%CI) 2.45 (1.75, 3.41)], while no increase in risk of hypercalcemia [RR (95%CI) 1.99 (0.96, 4.13)]. Conclusion Vitamin D supplementation is safe but not effective in the treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis.Objective To investigate the effect of stomatin protein expression on the proliferation and apoptosis of lung cancer cells. Methods The expressions of stomatin mRNA in human bronchial epithelial cells (HBE) and lung cancer cells (H520, A549, 95D, H460, Glc-82, 973 and H1299) were detected by Real-time PCR. Immunohistochemistry (IHC) was used to detect stomatin protein expression in 4 lung cancer tissue microarrays with 259 cases of lung cancer and adjacent normal tissues. After knocking down the expression of stomatin in A549 cells, the proliferation was detected by 3-(4,5-dimethyl-2-thiazolyl)-2,5-diphenyl-2-H-tetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay, the apoptosis was detected by flow cytometry, the expression levels of total protein kinase B (AKT) and phosphorylated AKT at Ser473 were detected by Western blot. BALB/c nude mice were used to detect the tumorigenic ability of stomatin downregulated A549 cells (3 mice) and control cells (3 mice), and the protein expressions of stomatin, Ki67 and CD31 in tumor tissues wgulating AKT signaling pathway.Objective To explore the clinical features and prognosis of gastric mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma. Methods The data of patients with gastric mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma diagnosed and treated at Peking University Cancer Hospital from 2000 to 2019 were collected, and their clinical characteristics, treatment options and effects, and prognosis were retrospectively analyzed. Results The median age of 68 patients was 56 years old, and the ratio of men to women was 0.6∶1.0. Early patients accounted for about 76% (52/68). The most commonly used treatment is Helicobacter pylori eradication, followed by radiotherapy and chemotherapy. The total effective rate is 94%, of which the complete remission rate is 72%. With a median follow-up of 44 months, the 5-year progression-free survival (PFS) rate was 73%, and the overall survival (OS) rate was 83%. Prognostic factor analysis showed that albumin level (P=0.011) and international prognostic index (IPI)(P=0.017) are independent prognostic indicators of PFS, The 5-year PFS rate of patients with normal and reduced albumin was 77% and 50%, respectively, and the 5-year PFS rate of patients with IPI score less then 2 points and IPI ≥ 2 points was 80% and 48%, respectively. Lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) (P=0.016) and albumin level (P=0.025) are independent prognostic indicators of OS, and the 5-year OS rates of patients with normal and elevated LDH were 87% and 67%, respectively. The 5-year OS rates of patients with normal albumin and reduced were 92% and 73%, respectively. Conclusions Gastric mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma is sensitive to treatment and has a good prognosis. The patient’s albumin and lactate dehydrogenase levels are independent prognostic indicators.
